Easy Turkey Burger Bowls: Healthy 20- Minute Dinner for Busy Women

White bowl with salad on brown countertop. Salad contains lettuce, tomatoes, onions, pickles, and dressing, creating a fresh, colorful look.

At this point, you all know how much I do not like to be in the kitchen. It is not that I can't cook, it's that I am tired of cooking. So, whenever I see a recipe that looks like it will shorten my kitchen time, and be nourishing to my body, I’m in.

I was inspired when I saw a friend on IG making burger bowls for her family. They looked easy and delicious, and I couldn't wait to try it. She prepared hers with ground beef, but since I wasn't eating red meat, I decided to use ground turkey. Just make sure to season well, and you can't go wrong with either option.

The most labor intensive part will be chopping your veggies if you use them, so do that first and get it out of the way. After that, everything comes together quickly. Before you know it, you’ll be digging in to this delicious turkey burger bowl in no time. Give it a try, and tag me so I can see your version. Let me know what you think! What toppings do you like on your turkey burger bowl?

Ingredients:

Ground Turkey

Salt

Pepper

Garlic Powder

Toppings:

Lettuce

Tomato

Pickles

Onions

Shredded Cheese

Burger Sauce (this is the one I used)*

Directions:

Chop veggies and set to the side.

Cook ground turkey in pan and season well.

While turkey is cooking, make burger sauce and set aside.

Once turkey finished cooking, drain excess fat and start preparing bowls.

I like to start with lettuce, then add the meat, followed by the rest of the toppings.

Finish with burger sauce, and mix together then enjoy.

Notes:

*I made my burger with half a combination of mayo and greek yogurt to lighten things up.

Serve with fries, or in my case I made air fried potatoes. Absolutely delicious!
