Simple Outfit Ideas For All Your Fall Fun

My weather is just becoming fall like here in Indiana, and you know what that means. It's time for long sleeves, layers, and jackets. If I'm honest, I'm still not ready, but the changes in season aren't stopping for me. Looking on the bright side, there are some cool things to look forward to like visits to the pumpkin patch and apple orchard, hot cocoa, and caramel apples. My family and I just went to the apple orchard, and I thought I would put together a few easy and casual outfit ideas for you as you prepare for some of your fall activities. These items were in my closet with the addition of a couple of new pieces, but all of them are easy to style and will have you ready for your next fall adventure.

The style that almost always comes to mind for fall is flannel. Most people can't wait to break out their flannel tops and plaid prints for the season. This oversized plaid shirt I grabbed at American Eagle was a nice way to go for my visit to the apple orchard. A simple tank and straight leg jeans, plus my sneakers for walking kept me comfortable, and it just gives off all the fall vibes. You can even pair this top with leggings and a vest for another simple outfit idea for the day.

Not much is more comfortable than a pair of leggings. Now, when you add a simple oversized T-shirt and utility jacket to the mix, this casual outfit can be worn on any day of the week. Whether you're headed to the pumpkin patch with family, or on a field trip with your little one, you'll be comfortable and able to move around with ease. Add a little belt bag to free up your hands and you're good to go.

My denim vest was a clearance find this past summer, and I had to think of a way to wear it now instead of waiting until next year. Another comfy outfit was created by taking a plaid shirt and faux leather leggings and combining them. Of course, any pair of leggings will do, and if you take an item from outfits one and two, now you'll also be saving some money and who doesn’t like that?

Fall is the time to have a little fun with your closet before it's time for the heavy coats that cover you all up. I like to play around with the colors, prints and textures the season brings.
